With reference to your letter of the 9th May (No. 20261) and previous correspondence relative to claime under the Workmen's Compensation Act, 1906 by dependants of Chinese seamen, I am directed by Board of Trade to transit herewith a copy of a letter which was addressed to the Home Office in
the matter.
In view of the arrangements made as a result of the cor- respondence ending with Sir Walter Howell's letter (No. M 27378) of 5th December, 1910, the Board suggests for the consideration of Mr Secretary Bonar Law that the new arrange- ments might be communicated to the Easter Attendant, Singapore and the Harbour Lester, Hong Kong, for their information, and with a request that they will take such action as may be
necessary.
The Under Secretary of State,
Colonial Office,

I have the honour to be, Sir, Your obedient Servant,
